How To Nail A Writing Assignment Tips And Tricks

How To Nail A Writing Assignment Tips And Tricks Many students out there panic as soon as they hear the word assignment. Luckily, its much easier to write an assignment than you may think, if you put in the time and effort. If youre never sure where to start, read on for tips and tricks that students swear by. Read the question carefully This sounds obvious, but it needs to be said. Often, students get bad marks because they havent quite read the question properly, and so havent devised a proper answer. Read it through several times, and really pay attention to what youre being asked. Make sure youre not missing anything. Use citations properly Another big problems students face is that they get marked down for not citing their sources. Its an easy mistake to make, but you dont want to get penalised for it. Thats why you want to get it right, first time. The best way to do this is to use a tool like Cite It In, so you can get the right citations to paste into your work. Plan your time An essay written at the last minute is never going to get high marks. It may have worked at school, but it wont anymore. Plan your time wisely. Work in small chunks, so you dont become overwhelmed by the task. Give yourself enough time and you can get it done, easily. Create a plan “If you dive right in and start writing, you wont be able to write an assignment thats really cohesive. Instead, start out with a plan. You can write lists, brainstorm, or use any other methods you like. Do your reading, and work out what youre going to need to cover in your essay,” suggests Dan Halligan, lead writer at Custom Essay Writing Service. Once youve got a plan, youll then find it a lot easier to actually write the piece. Be mindful of language The way you write in an assignment is going to be different than online, or when you speak with your friends. Avoid slang or overly casual language. If youre not sure about what youre writing, check your universitys style guide. There will be guidance for the language you use. Get help from others Take advantage of writing communities online. They can help you when you need some encouragement, or someone to check over your work. Paper Fellows and Academized can help you with your grammar and writing style. Proofread! You must always proofread before you submit, no exceptions. Youll lose marks for spelling errors and mistakes, so make sure you pull them out before anyone else even reads your essay. If you can, have someone else read your work too. Useful tools Theres more tools out there that will help you get the most out of any paper you write. Here are some of the best tools you can find online: Easy Word Counter: Check the length of your assignment with this tool, and check that no spelling errors have slipped by you. Structuring Your Assignment: This in-depth guide gives you everything you need to properly plan a piece of writing.  Assignment Writing Help: This service can help you with proofreading your writing, before you submit it. 2 Simple Tricks to Play Country Guitar

2 Simple Tricks to Play Country Guitar Sign up successful One of my first guitar teachers emphasized the difference between impression and expression. Country guitar is one hundred percent expression. When you play country guitar, youre not trying to show off how fast you can play a riff or pattern. Practice Your Expression With Your Favorite Country Songs Pick some of your favorite country songs to use for practice. If you dont have any favorites, I suggest using a Hank Williams or Patsy Cline album (preferably a vinyl copy if you have access to one). Nothings more basic and friendly (as well as educational) than the old stuff. Begin by strumming a simple three-chord pattern along with the music in the key that matches. I suggest that you start with C, F, and G7th. If that doesnt work, go up to D, G, and A7th. Once youve found the right chords, hit the bottom string of each chord, strum it, and then repeat. Practice this pattern with no embellishments. Once youre comfortable playing this, youll be ready to begin plucking individual notes. Country songs are played to convey emotions like love, heartache, loss, and simple pleasures like watching a sunset. If the song is in three-four time (one two three, one two three), it helps to match each measure with a three-syllable phrase. For example, if the song is about love, repeat the phrase I love you to yourself and assign each syllable a separate note that supports the power of this message. If the song is about heartache, assign the phrase I miss you to a set of notes. If the song is about loss, you can use a phrase like Im so blue. You can express a simple pleasure, like a picnic or sunset, with a phrase like aint this grand. If the song has a different theme, feel free to make up your own phrase and repeat the process. Add an extra word when you assign phrases to songs in common (four-four) time (I love you, dear). Coordinate Your Solos to Compliment The Songs Pattern Country solos should be mere embellishments of these three- or four-note patterns. Heres where you get the chance to practice and develop your open-handed technique (which should be as playful-sounding as possible). The verbal equivalent of a country guitar solo is an embellishment of a phrase. Its notes might be represent a phrase like I love you. Yes oh yes I do. Yes oh yes I do. I want you to love meto love me..to love me. If you do, Ill be true. You know that Ill be true. Take my hand (my hand my hand my hand) and love me tooand love me too.” Every phrase comprised of words other than the original three (yes oh yes I do. Yes oh yes I do) should be expressed musically with an alternating thumb-and-finger pattern. You might eventually want to take these patterns a step further, and use a more involved phrase like yes oh yes I do. You know I do. Yes oh yes I do and Ill be true.” For beginners who want to learn to play country guitar, I recommend Hank Williams Im So Lonesome, I Could Cry. Its both slow and in three-four time. Its three-note pattern is also easy to follow, and its dictated by the words in the song. Patsy Clines Your Cheatin Heart (in common time) is another great song for beginners. The message in a country song is usually simple and easy to understand. Country guitar patterns express the ups and downs we all experience in life. These tips should help you learn to play some basic country songs. If you need some additional help, find a teacher and sign up for guitar lessons, today! 4 Fun Italian Vocabulary Games for Kids

4 Fun Italian Vocabulary Games for Kids Brooke Neuman Is your child having trouble memorizing Italian vocabulary? Below, Italian tutor Nadia B. shares four fun games that will help your child learn vocabulary while still having fun One of the keys to helping children learn Italianor any language for that matteris to keep it fun and encourage use of the language. The following Italian vocabulary games accomplish both goals. In between Italian lessons, play these fun games with your child. You never know, you might pick up a few Italian vocabulary words yourself! 1. Charades Chances are youre already familiar with the word guessing game, charades. Charades is a fun way to stimulate a childs imagination, and the best part is you can customize the game for whatever your child needs to work on. If he or she needs to work on memorizing verbs, for example, you can write different verbssuch as ridere  (to laugh),  scrivere  (to write),  pensare  (to think)on index cards, then ask your child to act out the verb. You can make it as simple or as complex as you like. The only rule is that all discussions must be done inyes, you guessed it, Italian! 2. Who Am I? Write out a list of individuals on small strips of paper; for example, linsegnante (teacher), la studentessa (student), il fratello (brother), lavvocato ( lawyer), etc.  If the child has a good understanding of Italian culture, you can try listing well-known Italian figures such as il Papa, Jovanotti, Dante, etc. Next, choose a strip of paper and tape it to the childs back so he or she cant see it. Then, have the child take turns asking questions in Italian about who she or he is. You can give the child suggestions for questions to ask; for example,  Sono maschio o femmina? (Are they male or female?), Quanti anni ho? (How old am I?), and Sono ancora vivo/a? ( Am I still alive?) As the questions become more complex, the more the child will practice his or her Italian vocabulary. If the child doesnt know a particular word,  encourage him or her to look it up or simple ask how to say it.  The game is concluded when the child has discovered his or her identity. 3.  I Spy First, gather a set of index cards. On half the cards, create a mark with a colored marker or crayon. On the remaining cards, write out the name of an object in the room. Keep the two sets of cards separate. Next, ask the child to choose a card from each pile. After choosing a colored card and object card, the child will have to identify the specific colored object in the room and form the sentence, I spy a ______.  If the child chooses the object door and the color white, for example, he or she will form the sentence,  Vedo una porta bianca. (I see a white door.) 4. Like/Dislike Gather a set of index cards and some dice. On half of the cards write the phrase, Mi piace/piacciono ___ (I like ___). On the other half, write the phrase, Non mi piace/piacciono ___ (I dont like ____).  Then, place all of the index cards in a bag. Next, ask the child  to pick a card from the bag and roll the die. Whatever number he or she rolls is the number of items or actions he or she must list. For example, if the number three is rolled, the child must list three things he or she likes or dislikes depending on which card he or she picked. Using these Italian vocabulary games will make practice fun and exciting! Encourage your child to come up with exciting alterations to the games, as there are many variations in how they can be played. Nadia B. teaches Italian in New York, NY. Promote-able skills - Introvert Whisperer

Introvert Whisperer / Promote-able skills - Introvert Whisperer Promote-able skills Leadership skills will get you promoted faster and will position you for continued success along with job satisfaction. This a core fact that many people simply don’t realize, even if they have no intention of “being in charge”. What are the Leadership skills I’m talking about? I’m going to list the Leadership skills I outline in the Leadership training I do but I’m only going to discuss a few of them because I think they are the most important ones.   That doesn’t mean you get a pass on the others but I think it’s good to know where to start focusing your skill building. Leadership Skills Positive Committed to a result Influential (social) Takes responsibility Shows Initiative Deliberately gets Involved See’s what possible â€" thinks about Improvement Has a vision Communicates Relationship developer; reads people Motivates by engaging Takes responsibility â€" A person that is being responsible for things in the workplace is first and foremost accountable for their own work and results.   They will also expand to become responsible for the work and actions of others as they step up and seek to lead work efforts or projects.   Taking responsibility for your own results is huge because a lot of people look for reasons why they didn’t do something well rather than doing what it takes to ensure a great outcome.   Anyone who can’t be accountable for the outcome of his or her own work will never go anywhere professionally.   They let situations occur that turn them into victims rather than do everything they can.   The same mentality exists by being accountable for the work of others. Shows Initiative â€" This is defined as: An individuals action that begins a process, often done without direct managerial influence. Notice the key words here and that is “without direct managerial influence”.   In other words, you don’t need the boss to be telling you what to do all the time.   They also don’t want to be directing all the time anyway as they have other things that will make better use of their time.   Think of it like this: The CEO of your company isn’t waiting to be told what to do.   When a person takes initiative in the workplace I can promise you that almost no one does this and it will make you an easy, positive standout. Deliberately gets involved â€" Employees that step up to solve problems or take ownership of projects are signs of leadership.   Again, it’s fairly rare to see so it scores high in the hearts of minds of decision makers. Communicates â€" Communication is the weak spot in almost all groups and for most people.   Communicating is one of the easiest of all of these skills to do.   Decision makers love a free flow of information about work, business and projects rather than trying to extract it from the people who are doing the work but its how the majority of people operate.   If you communicate consistently and proactively you will be uppermost in the hearts and minds of management. Wheww!   I could spend hours talking about this stuff but I’ll stop here.   This is important information if you have any ambitions professionally. Get started now. Go to top Let me emphasize that Self-Promotion doesn’t have to be obnoxious to be effective.  But, if you don’t Self-Promote you, who will? If you ever want to get ahead, you have to learn how to Self-Promote.
